This Resolution adopted the
recommendations of the Salaries Commission who in
1797aragraph 12 of their report recommended xxx the basis
OL which sterling salaries should be paid. No announcement was made regarding the possibility of such rates of exchange being varied by Governments from time to time. If therefore you approve of the suggested alterations of calculations of exchange valucs set out in paragraph 9
obtain of my despatch it would perhaps be necessary to formal approval of the Legislative Council of such amendments of the original Resolution though perhaps unanimous passing of the Budget after my statement (see 5 yuqbbare 229 of Hansard 20th October 1930) may be regarded as
